Our Mission
The NNSS F&R BA is comprised of current and retired members of Nevada National Security Site Fire & Rescue. We are dedicated to assisting our members, our community and others during times of crisis. We uphold the traditions and public service mission of the Fire Service. Our goal is to make a positive impact in everything we do.
Duty Honor Commitment
The NNSS F&R Benevolent Association supports several charities, organizations and events. These organizations support burn survivors, the fight against cancer, school supply drives, toy drives and various other needs which arise annually. We mentor school aged children by providing school visits to discuss careers in the Fire Service. The members of the NNSS F&R BA also volunteer during Fire Prevention Month. We visit multiple schools and teach Fire Prevention and what to do in case of an emergency. Giving back to our community and volunteering to assist others is a large part of what we do.
Tradition and Service
The NNSS F&R BA Honor Guard is comprised of active members of NNSS F&R. Our Honor Guard Members work tirelessly to achieve the perfection required to honor the Fire Service. They work closely with other local Honor Guards to assist in funeral services for Line of Duty Death (LODD) for both Firefighters and Police Officers. These tragic events require a tremendous amount of personnel to support the family and agency who lost a member. The Honor Guard also attends several events such as 9/11 ceremonies, parades, Memorial Day events and many other events in honor of public service.
